The Aspire Basketball League began as the Legacy League, originally played in the parking lot of what is now Aspire Athletic Club. With uneven chalk lines and a simple idea, the league was built on competition, consistency, and a shared love for the game. Credit goes to founder Billy Floyd for bringing the vision to life and laying the foundation for what the league would become.

Each year, the league continued to grow through the collective effort of its players and supporters. Heading into Year 2, Aspire League began partnering with local businesses to help support and strengthen the league. In Year 3, a major step forward was taken with the launch of the league’s Instagram, allowing players and fans to track records, stats, and league updates while adding a new competitive edge. That same season also featured the league’s first All-Star Day, including a dunk contest, three-point contest, and All-Star Game.

Year 4 marked another milestone with the introduction of the league’s own branded court outside Aspire Athletic Club. Now entering Year 5, the Aspire Basketball League continues to evolve, with new improvements planned to enhance the experience and continue giving back to the players who make the league what it is.
